13 years after the AVH was founded, our membership and our mission remain strong. With our conference attendees averaging 10 years in homeopathic practice, our prescribing skills are improving and our patients are getting healthier.

Our 11th Annual Conference and Meeting is designed to take our prescribing skills even further. Two outstanding homeopaths will offer their differing views on dose and potency according to Hahnemann. Two other respected homeopaths will explore with us the relationship between humans and their animals and how these relationships can affect the health of the pets. We’ll approach the challenge of prescribing for incurable and terminal patients in two separate lectures, and we’ll hear from experienced practitioners how to deal with two of the most common and frustrating conditions: laminitis and pruritus.

As homeopathy becomes more established in veterinary medicine, so does the need for more specialized areas. We are thrilled to have a European practitioner and researcher present a research paper, and a veterinary homeopath/attorney advises us on staying legal.

AVH 2008 in Santa Fe is designed toward meeting our goals for our skills as practitioners and for our patients’ health:

“In the Direction of Cure”.
